"Cafe in Dungun

Ever since an associate posted on Kedai Kopi Kuala Dungun which looked retro and quaint, I to ld myself that I would come here one day. ⁶
God must have heard my wish - a group of close friends headed to Tanjung Jara as part of wedding proposal entourage.

As I was staying overnight in Kuantan, while the rest of gang started from KL I had the luxury of taking my own sweet time to drive up north to the capital of Nasi Dagang and keropok lekor.

The rest had about 2 hours before arriving, and I'd arrived in the sleepy town of Kuala Dungun so I had plenty of time to kill while waiting for them. Kedai Kopi Kuala Dungun is located on a quiet stretch of this town - which was almost devoid of people.

Inside the cafe is where you'd find many quirky items of the past that brought back much memories of childhood - old CRT TV; analog telephone; radio players, cassette tape; old ads, rattan furnitures, heck even tables made out of sewing machines. The entire shop looked like it was never been renovated since Day 1.

Ordered snacks such as nuggets and wedges for the princess, roti bakar and bun for us, Nasi Lemak bungkus for the sonny. Kopi C Kosong had a good kopi flavour to it.

This old school cafe might not be the best in terms of customer service but I think the prolonged laid back environment in this sleepy town might have got to do with this. Just don't expect anything - food was generally OK and the environment made up for it."

"The lontong tasted quite good, but there weren't many vegetables or tofu in it. The old items in the shop brought back many childhood memories."

"Nice cafe with retro and traditional theme. They have ‘kopi kampung’ and also brew coffee. I have tried Iced Kopi Kuala and the taste is okay for me. Taste like coffee from Bungkus Kaw-Kaw 😁.

Few variety of food and also pastries. You can refer to the menu and photo attached. Cafe located in Dungun town and easy to reach. You can park your car along the road side. Expect some crowd during weekend and public holidays."

"The old kayu shop feel and old vintage items is EVERYWHERE even the tables and chairs are older than the staffs. It looks messy but once you take pictures the placement actually makes sense.
The kopi kuala and mee kuala are very delicious, and worth the try.
For the Mee Kuala they use thin noodles like kuey teow noodles, which really carry the fried taste, got wok hey, spiciness, soy taste is in balance.
Kopi kuala is just nice type of kopi kampung with notty notes and not too sweet.
Satar goreng i feel is abit dry, but the chili sos really brings out the taste. The wanton skin for the satar goreng is really crispy and i like it.
This has a nice ambience from an era long gone but the food is for the young and slightly old.

The local food is more for tourists, and the cakes and pastries are for the locals.

p.s: i know the toilet is from the building ole era, but needs a bit of thinking on how it needs to be much hygienic"
