"Best soft cookies in town. I've tried sea salt cookie. So yummy. Big size also. Their matcha is so so. Coffee haven't try. Take out only. But they have bench to sit down. Owner also very friendly. He bake cookies at own kitchen beside the shop. Quite pricey but maybe the ingredients are premium 👍"

"Cookies were good. Lots of choices. Personally would prefer them to be a bit more soft/chewy. Can see why they are popular.

Take away only. House is within housing area but easy to find with waze. But have to be considerate kn parking."

"BARNHOUZ Coffee & Cookies is a literal hidden gem tucked away in the Tok Sira area. It’s an aesthetically pleasing, breezy little spot that’s perfect for a quick quality treat.

​Note: This is a takeaway-only shop. There’s a cozy bench available to relax on while you wait for your order, but don't plan on a long sit-down session—it's all about that premium "grab-and-go" experience.

​What to Order:

​Ajisai Oatside Matcha: One of my absolute favorites. If you like your matcha thick, creamy, and high-quality, this is the one to get.

​The Cookies: I tried the Creme Brulee and Bueno cookies. Both were delicious and well-baked.

​The Service:

The owner/barista is incredibly soft-spoken and kind. I was stuck on which cookies to pick, and he was patient enough to help me choose the best ones. It’s that kind of friendly local service that makes you want to come back.

​Pro-Tips:

​Parking: Located in a residential neighborhood, so just find a safe spot to park at the side of the road.

​Crowds: I went around 5:00 PM on a Thursday. It was quiet when I arrived, but 2–3 groups showed up right after I ordered, so it can get busy fast even on weekdays!

​Definitely a top-tier spot in Kuantan if you're a fan of matcha and artisanal cookies."

"It’s a take-away only spot, but I just love the vibe here! ☕ Great coffee, super yummy cookies, and plenty of flavours to choose from. The coffee’s smooth and not too sweet, just how I like it. Friendly staff and good energy all around. Definitely one of my go-to coffee spots in Kuantan! 🌿"

"Ever been to a residential front-yard coffee stall that serves exceptional Coffee and Cookies? Come try out BARNHOUZ Coffee & Cookies!

Tucked away in the middle of a neighborhood in Kuantan, Pahang, you can find aromatic coffees, and I highly recommend that you try the Americano and Barnhouz Caffe Latte here! For cookies, the Classic Chocolate Chip and Creme Brûlée Cookies are a personal must-haves, as I can’t help missing their soft texture and sweet taste, even as I am writing this.

The barista was very friendly and served us with a smile. He also puts on a serious and hardworking face as he prepares every order with care and masterful craftsmanship.

Finally, the environment around the space is quite peaceful, as it’s an extended hut on top of an open garden inside a residential area. They operate on a takeout/takeaway basis, although they have benches for you to sit while you wait for your coffee or chill during non-peak hours. Regulars seem to hang out and enjoy a cuppa in the vicinity, before carrying on with their lives.

All in all, definitely a business I would like to support again in the future when I visit Kuantan again. Can’t wait to try their cookies again!"
