"Returning to my hometown of Parit Buntar always brings back memories—but this time, I decided to finally explore one of the many viral eateries I’ve never gotten around to visiting. For dinner, we stopped by Ruma Konsi, a cozy and unique restaurant located along Jalan Damai, just down the road to Bank Islam, directly opposite Hong Leong Bank.

We came as a party of three and enjoyed a simple yet satisfying meal: Chicken Chop, Kuey Teow Tomyam, and Chinese Fried Rice. Ruma Konsi serves a great mix of Thai cuisine and Western dishes, with options like spaghetti, burgers, and more, making it a versatile spot for various taste buds. The food was flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous—definitely worth checking out for casual family meals or outings with friends.

One thing that really stood out was the parking space. Although the restaurant sits on what looks like a converted residential lot, there’s a huge open area at the back that has been transformed into a spacious parking zone—a rare find in town! My mom even shared a nostalgic story: back in the 1970s, my grandfather was offered a plot here for just RM7,000. Thinking about how much it’s probably worth now is mind-blowing!

The setting was chill and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the meal. Whether you’re local or just passing through, Ruma Konsi is definitely one of those places that combines good food with a bit of hometown nostalgia."

"Came all the way from Penang just for this spot totally worth it.
The aloha fries were crispy and loaded with flavour, creamy pasta was rich and satisfying with a good portion, and the kuew teow goreng had that perfect wok hei taste.Overall a really solid experience. Would definitely come again and again.Highly recommended!!!"
