"Was so hungry after a long drive from north heading south and finally stop for lunch at this nice cosy rustic cafe owns by a local entrepreneur Mr. Suhaimi, a very friendly guy if you get to know him. Food was absolutely spectacular. I would highly recommend thier lempeng with sambal tumis, mee kari tulang & ubi rebus with coconut shredd together with sambal . Everything is done simple but the taste truly authentic feels like home cook πŸ˜‹"

"Wanted to find a cuppa kopi before heading to Teluk Intan, stayed for an hour chit chatting with owner Suhaimi 😊
Definitely a worthwhile stop for anyone passing thru Sungkai, for the awesome vibe, excellent kopi and food and the hospitality."

"Vintage dining atmosphere featuring a limited yet delightful menu, all at budget-friendly price.

Enjoy the warm hospitality of a very friendly and attentive owner and staff, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

However, be prepared for some unwelcome guests-there may be a few flies around, likely due to season, which could make your visit slightly less comfortable.

Highly recommend!"

"Who would have thought that, late at night in the quiet old town of Sungkai, you could find comfort in something as simple and as heartwarming as a plate of steaming hot ubi rebus?

Tucked away behind rows of weathered wooden shophouses, almost hidden from public view, lies a humble little cafΓ© known as Kedei Kupi Cherok. Step inside, and you’ll be transported back in time. The space is lovingly decorated with vintage memorabilia and antique curios, each piece adding to the warm, nostalgic charm. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, reminisce, and just breathe.

Adding to the charm is the owner himself a soft-spoken, humble man who greets you with a genuine smile and treats every guest like an old friend. His quiet passion shows in every detail, from the carefully curated dΓ©cor to the food served with heart.

The menu is simple, yet it offers exactly what you didn’t know you were craving.

The roti bakar is perfectly toasted crispy outside, fluffy inside. The ubi rebus arrives steaming hot, paired with a house-made sambal that packs just the right punch. And the lempeng nyor, a traditional coconut flat pancake served with sambal, is the kind of dish that leaves you satisfied yet longing for one more bite."
