"I came here at around 11:00 PM. At that hour, there weren't many restaurants still open around Ipoh. The location is also close to several popular attractions, making it a great place to stop by after exploring the city.

If you're looking to try authentic Malaysian food without spending too much, I definitely recommend this place.

Honestly, I regret not trying more dishes because every plate the staff brought out to other tables looked absolutely delicious. I ordered the Nasi Kukus Ayam Buttermilk, 10/10!

They have a wide variety of food and drinks on the menu, so there's plenty to choose from. The prices are also very affordable, with most dishes costing only RM5 - RM10."

"This kopitiam is malay themed 🍞☕️
Would say i went for late breakfast/ brunch around 11am. At first the tables for the lower floor is full. They directed us to the upper floor, cozy. Get a table, read on the menu and at the table you can fill in the order list. You will need to order at the counter.
•Roti telur goyang seri kaya: is a can try menu. To me the break is a bit too thick. The kaya paired well with the soft boiled egg
•The roti benggali & kari ayam: the kari ayam serious sedap. Melayu style kari. Not spicy nor too salty, the right balance. Balik tu masih teringat…
•Kopi butter: to me it’s too thick for my liking. If you are a coffe kampung lover, maybe you’ll like.
In all, a great breakfast option!"

"We tried three items: mi kari, roti Benggali with chicken curry, and soft-boiled eggs with kaya toast.

🍜 Mi Kari
The curry broth is rich, creamy, and well-spiced with a balanced depth of flavor. It comes with toppings like fish cake, tofu, and vegetables that absorb the curry nicely. The spice level is moderate, flavorful without being overwhelming. Portion size is satisfying.

🍞 Roti Benggali with Chicken Curry
This was the highlight. The thick, soft Benggali bread pairs perfectly with the fragrant, coconut-based chicken curry. The chicken is tender, and the gravy has that beautiful layer of curry oil that shows it’s properly cooked and well-balanced in seasoning.

🥚 Soft-Boiled Eggs with Kaya Toast
A timeless classic. The silky soft eggs combined with creamy, sweet kaya and butter on toast create a comforting and satisfying bite.

Overall:
✔ Generous portions
✔ Great for breakfast or tea time

It can get busy during peak hours, but service is generally efficient. A solid choice if you’re craving traditional Malaysian comfort food in a relaxed setting."

"I ordered the nasi lemak ayam goreng ranggup, and it was excellent. The sambal bilis tastes heavenly, and I really appreciate that the chicken is boneless. Very convenient and satisfying.

The nasi ayam kari is another highlight. I love the curry, the flavour is well-balanced and comforting ❤️

The toilet and sink are clean, even though the space is small, which shows good attention to hygiene.

The customer service is top notch. From the cashier to the cook and the waiters. Everyone was friendly and professional.

I also love the old kopitiam vibe. It adds character and makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Definitely a place worth coming back to
